Please feel free to add ideas for integrating the eInstruction's Mobi in the classroom.

    What is a Mobi?

The eInstruction Interwrite Mobi (Mobi) is a mobile tablet-like device that uses digitized and pen-input technology. It works in conjunction with Interwrite software. The Mobi allows the user to control his/her laptop or computer by opening applications, editing files, annotating images, pictures, and/or Internet websites from anywhere in the classroom. Used with a projection device, the Mobi is an excellent tool for collaborative learning. Images and text can be projected on any wall, screen, or whiteboard.

What is a Classroom Performance System ("Clickers")?

Picture of a Clicker - Student Response System

eInstruction's Classroom Performance System is a tool that can provide you with an assessment of daily instruction. Sometimes referred to as a “Clicker”, this tool is a hand held device that allows students to respond to verbal, written, or on screen questions. This provides the instructor valuable information as to student understanding of material presented. The clicker has eight alphabetical buttons. Students can answer multiple-choice or true false questions.

The receiver for the “Clickers” is connected to the computer/laptop via a USB port. Clickers work well with the Mobi. The teacher receives instant data on their Mobi screen that enables them to evaluate student comprehension of the lesson presented and adjust teaching strategies if needed.
