L4L is a strategic initiative of the Boston Public Schools to foster 21st century teaching and learning by establishing pervasive access to technology in Boston’s classrooms. L4L represents Phase II of the district’s Computer Life Cycle Model which will ensure that Boston teachers and students have access to up-to-date technology by placing instructional computers on a 4 or 5 year life cycle by 2012.
